Tulum is located in the Mexican Riviera Maya, along the Yucatan peninsula's Caribbean coast. A unique geological system of underground mineral water rivers flow through the jungle and exit into the Caribbean sea. Just north of the Sian Kaàn Bioreserve (protected by UNESCO), Tulum's white sand beaches combine with the Caribbean turquoise waters for a magical environment. Tulum is the site of an ancient Maya walled city which served as a port for the city of Coba as well as for Maya people on their pilgramage to the island of the goddess, Ixchel (which is now known as Cozumel). The ruins are Mexico's most visited, perhaps because they sit on 12 meter high cliffs overlooking the Cari- bbean. Before 1970 there were no roads into the jungles of Quintana Roo, which is why this magical world is still relatively unknown. The little town of Tulum is slowly developing offering a wide range of services like internet cafes, restaurants, accomodation, clubs. Here we have selected a few in which we are confident due to his professionalism and good services.
